My Place

What have I done this all for,
If you won’t allow me to heal you?
Don’t rob my cross of its glory, of its power.

I came to carry your burden.
I came to take it all away.

But if you refuse to let me carry it
And choose, instead, to carry it yourself
And suffer under its weight,
Where, then, is my place?

Please know I can carry it.
I know you doubt it at times,
But I can carry it.
And I desire nothing more than to relieve you of it
And offer you rest, respite and love in its place.

Let me restore and heal you.
Let the power of my sacrifice take hold in your heart,
And let its great glory shine through you.
