It’s been over eight years since my last blog post. As one might imagine, much in life has changed over the course of that time. Each time the domain and hosting renewals resurfaced, typically on a biannual basis, I wondered whether I should release it all and let it go.

Clearly, my digital writing had not been prioritized during this time. What should give me confidence that this time might be different?

Truth be told, I am not certain that it will be different. But if there was ever a time to lean into it, that time is now.

I am on sabbatical from work and am nearly two months into this three-to-six-month planned break. And while the evidence on this site might not demonstrate it, writing has continued to play a big part in my life over the past eight years. It has just primarily expressed itself through journaling.

I am curious to see what form this site may take moving forward. I may even tap into those journal entries to do some infill for the gap. Or maybe I will simply begin again here. Time will tell.

The decision to reinstate this site for the next two years is a demonstration of my commitment now. I will not guarantee its continuance beyond that, though I sincerely hope in it. To me, my investment honors the power that words have played in my life to this point and expresses my desire to share that power with others.

So it begins, again.
